To help our readers find the best honeymoon destinations for their taste and budget, we have assembled 24 incredible honeymoon ideas for an unforgettable getaway, here in North America. Each destination offers a unique experience, unlike the place before it. For instance, clearly a honeymoon in the tropical islands of Hawaii will be very different from the red rocks of Arizona. Still all these honeymoon ideas have a few things in common: they are special, unique, and will leave you with lifelong memories.

We chose these destinations with two things in mind: the location (for example, Sedona, AZ) and a specific resort or hotel (i.e. Wave Spa and Resort) that we consider to be uniquely fit for a honeymoon couple. Of course, you can find other suitable facilities at the recommended locations, if you so choose.

Please share with us below your honeymoon ideas, or if you spent your honeymoon in one of our recommended locations, we would love to hear about it. In the coming months, we will be elaborating on each one of these locations in more detail.

Note: the order of the locations is not a measure of rank.

Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a magical, exuberant, colorful place, full of fascinating art, history, and culture. The small city is filled with hundreds of art galleries and diverse visual arts that span from ancient traditional art to the most contemporary. Quebec City, Quebec Province, Canada

This is a unique, romantic destination – North America’s version of Paris. A gorgeous destination which combines old and new, shopping and dining, culture, and history. Quebec City in Canada, a mostly French-speaking province which dates back to 1608, offers a makeup of stone buildings and narrow streets. Its picturesque Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, with narrow cobblestone streets, 17th- and 18th-century houses and soaring church spires, with the splendid Château Frontenac towering above it all. A sparkle of Old Europe in its classic bistros, sidewalk cafes and manicured squares. You can also spend a few enjoyable days taking day trips around the city.  Just remember the city is about 200 miles north of Bangor, Maine and can get really cold in the winter.

San Francisco, California

San Francisco is no doubt one of the most romantic and beautiful destinations in the world. We may also be a little bias, since it is also the “hometown” of this blog and our company, BrideBox Wedding Albums. But objectively speaking. there are so many things to see and do in SF and its surrounding areas.

One of the most amazing vista points in this city (on a clear day) is high above the Golden Gate Bridge, called Marine Headlands Vista Point, on Conzelman Rd. It’s not for walking or biking (unless you’re very athletic and up for an adventure), but an Uber or Lyft driver will be happy to take you there and back. Just make sure to come equip with clear directions, since this location is less touristy, and even many locals may not know of it.

San Francisco city has endless accommodation options, depending on your taste and budget. For your honeymoon, we recommend checking out one of these two amazing places:
