130 guests from all over the US arrived at Avila Beach Golf Resort on July 2nd, 2016 for the afternoon ceremony where Andrew and Jill tied the knot. They chose this particular venue because they love coming to the annual tequila festival held at the resort every year. They had one of their close friends, who introduced them at Friendsgiving years ago, act as officiant for them.

Once the ceremony was finished and the reception came to a close, guests enjoyed a fun-filled weekend with delicious drinks, fun in the sun, and an endless supply of love. The bride and groom love tequila so much, that did a tequila and cigar bar for the later part of the evening, featuring gifted cigars by the father of the groom.

Jill wanted a vintage glam feel with modern eclectic infused elements. She loved the idea of palm fronds and beachy pops woven into the day while adding glamorous touches such as furs, metals, and cut crystal goblets. They used florals, bouquets, and boutonnieres with king protea, palms, ferns and seasonal flowers such as dahlias and garden roses to add a unique spin to compliment their theme. With the addition of a DIY photo booth and a homemade paper fan backdrop (with hand painted gold foiled fans!) they topped off their perfect special touches!

The couple loves to share love letters and religiously saved the cards they wrote. For a special touch, as opposed to numbers, these personal cards acted as table assignments. Envelopes were fastened to the wall containing each guest’s assignment and a mad lib to be, filled out later that evening instead of a traditional guest book.

The bride and groom love to cook, so they made homemade “love rub” packets as favors for guests to enjoy.
