Passport

There are a lot of very important things to remember when planning for your honeymoon but one thing is more important than any other… if you are traveling for your vacation, be sure to remember your passport! This is one of the most important honeymoon mistakes to avoid. Without your passport, you will not be able to leave the country! It is also important to check that your passport is not expired and will maintain up to date throughout the duration of your trip.

Traveler’s Checks

It’s essential that you enjoy your honeymoon within a reasonable budget. You want to have your perfect vacation without breaking your wallet. While keeping your honeymoon affordable is an important thing to remember, it’s also important that you remember to bring along traveler’s checks to pay for the expenses that make up your honeymoon. In case your credit card may be declined, traveler’s checks are a great way to assure you won’t have any problems paying for food, accommodation and fun activities.

Prescription Medicine

If you take any prescription medicine, be sure to pack it on your trip! You want your honeymoon to be a relaxing time and having to go without your meds can be stressful. So be sure to take enough to last you the whole trip and pack it up with the rest of your belongings. If you don’t have any prescription medications, just bring along some aspirin and hopefully that will be the most you’ll need!

Sunscreen

An important thing to keep in mind when packing for your honeymoon is to take all the necessities that will keep your vacation running smoothly and safely. Just like you made sure to avoid typical wedding day emergencies, you will want to do the same for your post-wedding celebrations. Be sure to pack sunscreen! Although this item is most important for summer honeymoons, it’s a good idea to protect yourself from the sun any season… the last thing you want is to turn into a tomato during your long awaited trip!

Sunglasses

While sunscreen protects your skin from the dangerous rays, it does not protect your eyes. Whether you are snowboarding in France, climbing mountains in New Zealand or laying out in the beaches of Thailand, nothing goes better with exotic honeymoon destinations than a good pair of sunglasses! At any season and any location, if there is sun out, keep your eyes protected!

Razor

There is one item that is easy to skip but you’re going to want to remember… be sure to pack your razor! This is especially true if you are spending your vacation on the beach or in shorts. Although you will be able to buy a razor at most basic drug stores, you will save that extra spending by packing your own. Be sure to pack it in a bag or case to avoid any accidents when you rummage through your luggage.

Lingerie

When packing for your honeymoon, slip in a new set of lingerie to surprise your partner with. While this packing item is optional of course, it is a loved one for many honeymooners. Lingerie tends to make women feel beautiful and confident…and partners love the surprise! You can also get creative with other less traditional sexy boudoir outfits your partner will love and you will feel great in! Pick an outfit that you feel comfortable in and you are both sure to enjoy this packing list item.

Your honeymoon should be a fun and relaxing time for you and your partner to feel as connected as ever. Once you choose your destination and main activities, all that’s left is to book accommodation and pack your bags! Remember the essential items that will keep you protected and prepared. We recommend labeling all of your luggage with your name and phone number so that there are no mix-ups at the airport, especially if an item gets misplaced. Most importantly, enjoy this time together!
