Roxy and Oliver always knew that they wanted to get married at their favorite restaurant located on the Sydney harbor. Award-winning chefs, amazing food, and breath-taking views of the Sydney Opera House made that decision an easy one for them. Having their reception against such a gorgeous backdrop was something that was an incredibly wonderful aspect of their special day.
The wedding day was busy and filled with happiness, with Blumenthal Photography ready to capture every magnificent moment.
The exciting day started off with Roxy’s mother and friends joining her for some champagne at her place while she got her hair and makeup styled. They chatted and relaxed before the busy day ensued, taking as many pictures as possible. Meanwhile, the groom and his crew got ready on their yacht, also sipping champagne and sharing a few laughs before the ceremony.
Roxy knew exactly what she wanted for a wedding dress. “It was honestly a breeze when choosing my wedding dress. Only because I knew the designer and exact style that I wanted! Vera Wang and a Princess gown – the two go hand in hand I suppose. As soon as I laid eyes on the stunning gown I knew it was perfect. It was glamorous and timeless and the colour wasn’t a crisp white but more of a champagne colour which is exactly what I was after.”
Roxy and Oliver opted for a lavish, yet classic wedding theme, adorned with an abundance of gorgeous floral arrangements including a stunning floral wall. The crisp white decor contrasted with vibrant floral accents made for a simple, yet timeless and stunning setting for the wedding. Everything photographed so beautifully and gave a refined sense of elegance.
The wonderful ceremony was followed by many photographs, a celebratory cheers in honor of the happy couple, and settling in for a formal dinner by Quay Restaurant. The lavish decor was matched with award-winning cuisine that all the guests enjoyed in celebration of the love between Roxy and Oliver.
Roxy recounts that after the main course, “everyone took to speeches which were of course, absolutely hilarious! I’ve never cried and laughed so hard in my life. Just when I thought my cheeks couldn’t hurt anymore from smiling – the dancing began, a perfect way to top off the spectacular day!”
Roxy was glad that she was able to relax on her special day and enjoy every moment after all the hard work that was put in to making a dream come true.
“My favorite moment was definitely having our little pixie there with us. Her smile just completely lit up the room the whole day! Her contagious laughter had all the guests laughing along and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Even though it was a busy day, it was filled with excitement, love, and delight that made it all worth it.
Roxy and Oliver shared a beautiful, unforgettable day with each other and their cherished friends and family. Their amazing memories of this special time will be kept dear to them as they embark on the rest of their lives together.
